Set on the Shikwari Nature Reserve near Hoedspruit, the lodge has 6 bedrooms with private bathrooms & outdoor showers. We offer our guests gowns & slippers, a great choice of fresh coffee & coffee press, selection of teas & homemade cookies.

Our bathrooms are equipped with natural body lotion & liquid soap/shampoo. Fluffy white towel & luxurious cotton percale sheets. Our suites are set privately in the natural bush, connected by a pathway to the main lodge. Enjoy the sounds & sights of wildlife, and the amazing view of the Northern Drakensberg Mountains.

Slip into the cool waters of the pool while sipping a drink. Access Premium DSTV &  free Wi-Fi in the lounge or relax with a book on the large veranda and in the morning you can take a walk with a guide to learn more about this amazing place.

There is an option to book a Private Chef either to just cook your food or to prepare food from a menu you choose within a budget. It’s great for special occasions!! There will be help in the kitchen in the morning and in the evening, and all rooms are serviced.

About the accommodation
 

• Our main area consists of a lounge area, dining area, large shady veranda, swimming pool and deck with boma for braais.
• A Private Chef is available at a small extra cost for special occasions.
• A housekeeper is available who services rooms daily for part of the day and for the evening.
• Offering total privacy both for the villa with exclusive use & at the suites tucked away in the natural bush connected by pathways. 
• All suites have private bathrooms & outdoor showers.  
• All suites have a sitting area with a small patio where one can view game and birds.
• All suites have hospitality trays with complimentary fresh ground coffee, French press, a choice of quality teas & Shikwari’s homemade cookies as well as a mini fridge. 
• We offer fully serviced rooms, a turndown service with chocloate.

• This suite has two rooms, a main room with a queen-size bed & a small room off the main with single bunk beds for two children.

Knobthorn Suite

• There is a turndown service with chocolate. Two children may be accommodated on the daybed and truckle bed.

• Any activities may be booked through us and will be charged to the extra account.
