Born from a much loved Food Truck, Tacos Locos has grown in the hearts of many and has now taken root in the heart of Observatory, Cape Town. An urban take on Mexican street food and create recipes that are steered towards market trends and local flavours.
Custom-built and designed to serve a variety of Mexican flavoured cuisine, tantalising, spicy and flavourful is what comes to mind. Join the Tacos Locos family and get your weekly Mexican fix and more; from Tacos to chicken wings and nachos, whether for lunch, dinner or both!

Choice of Meal
Choose between HARD CORN SHELL, SOFT CORN SHELL or SOFT FLOUR SHELL. All tacos are served as TWO TACOS per portion and come with lettuce unless otherwise specified.

Mexican style BBQ chicken served with sour cream, guacamole and fresh salsa.
Soft and tender deep-fried lemon chicken, flavoured with Cape Town’s favourite Malay spices, drizzled with our homemade garlic mayo, cheddar cheese and fresh salsa.
Chipotle Butter Bean (V)
Large butter beans cooked until soft and tender in our tomato relish and smoked chipotle sauce, topped with feta cheese, fried onion, sour cream and coriander.
Mushroom Chilli Bite (V)
Sliced mushroom served with cucumber, tomato and melted cheddar cheese. Topped with fried chilli bites, marinara sauce, sour cream and fresh coriander.
BBQ Pulled Pork
Slow-cooked for 8 hours, this classic is served on tangy coleslaw, topped with homemade BBQ sauce, scorched corn and spring onion/tomato salsa.
Mexican Chilli Beef
Steak mince, cooked in our chilli taco spice and homemade tomato sauce, finished off with cheddar cheese, sour cream, fresh salsa and coriander.
Crispy Battered Fish
Hake medallions coated in a crispy batter, served with fresh cabbage, salsa, pickled dill and smoky chipotle mayo.
All burritos are served on a base of cumin-spiced rice wrapped in a flour tortilla.
BBQ Chicken Mayonnaise
Pan-fried BBQ chicken smothered in creamy mayonnaise and guacamole, covered in melted cheddar cheese and topped with freshly sliced tomato and onions.
Nacho Mexican Beef
Steak mince cooked in our chilli taco spice and homemade tomato sauce, covered in melted cheddar cheese and topped with freshly sliced tomato and onions, coriander and nacho corn chips.
Oyster Mushroom (V)
Sautéed oyster mushrooms in garlic butter, topped with a chimichurri dressing, fresh cherry tomatoes and red onions, potato flakes and feta cheese.
Smoky BBQ Fried Chicken
Tender deep-fried chicken strips served with melted cheese, fresh tomatoes, scorched corn and crispy fried onions. Finished off with our smoky BBQ sauce.
